In 2011, the Nigerian government announced family planning commodities would be free and available to all States.

375 social mobilizers take the streets daily throughout NURHI cities educating their communities about family planning.

Over 850 Family Planning providers have been trained through NURHI activities.

NURHI’s headquarters are in Abuja but the project operates in six field sites throughout the country.

NURHI is one of four Urban Reproductive Health Initiatives - others are being implemented in India, Kenya and Senegal.
